Erik Hunder, Instructor
Erik Hunder began dancing when he was 8 years old. He attended a local competitive studio for 10 years, training in various different dance styles. Erik furthered his dance education at the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities, where he recently received his BA in Dance and Physiology. At the U of M, he trained in many different styles and worked with many locally, nationally, and internationally renowned teachers and choreographers. As part of the U of M’s University Dance Theatre, Erik got the opportunity to perform work by Gerald Casel, Michel Kouakou, Larry Keigwin, Garth Fagan, and many others. He has also performed locally with Philly Productions LLC (“Philly” the musical), Artistry Theatres, MinnesoTap, JDCo, (Jeremy Dance Company), COLLIDE Theatrical Dance Company, and in various independent projects. Erik has received additional tap dance training by attending the annual Twin Cities Tap Festival, and by participating in MinnesoTap, a student-run dance ensemble, where he served as the artistic director for 2 years. In addition to teaching at various studios around the Twin Cities, Erik is a company member with JDCo., an apprentice with COLLIDE, and a character performer at Nickelodeon Universe. Erik is so excited to join the Dance Factory family this year and can’t wait to work with all the amazing dancers!
