11/15/2021 Competition and Performing Line Updates

Love Yourself week- We will be celebrating everything that is amazing about ourselves this week with activities in class. Ask your child about it after their TAP class this week.
Practicing at home - now is the time when all students need to be responsible for their learned choreography. Competition season will be here before we know it! The teachers cannot clean and perfect routines until ALL students know their choreography. Thank you for encouraging at-home practice and making a part of your dancer's routine.
Lost and found- We have a full lost and found bin! The items will be laid out in the lobby this week and next so you can find your lost items. After Thanksgiving we will be taking it to be donated.
Evaluations- We are getting ready to work on our fall student evaluations. They will be sent out over Holiday break. FYI!
The Dance Factory Military Care Package Drive
The Dance Factory would like to help the Forest Lake Rotary Interact Club as it holds its 3rd Annual Military Care Package Drive. We will have a tub placed in the Dance Factory lobby for families to donate items (list below), or write letters, or BOTH! The drive will run from November 9th-19th (with the help of Hugo Yellow Ribbon Network, ShiptoMilitary, and the Forest Lake Rotary Club). It will send care packages with food, hygiene, and entertainment items, as well as handwritten letters and artwork, to deployed Minnesotan troops. More information can be found here.

November production THIS WEEK!- Our stage rehearsal will on Sunday, 11/21 at Forest Lake High School. To allow for our teachers and some students to get to and from their small group/private lesson, practice will be from 5:15-7:45.
After holiday show production- we will be running production AFTER the holiday show from 4-5:00. If you are in production, this will be a MANDATORY rehearsal. We have to use the large spaces whenever we can!
Curtains in classrooms- we will be closing the curtains during competition classes, except for the last week of each month which will be reserved for parents observations from the hallway. This helps keep our students focused!
Banuet Monthly classes - We have spots available for the Nov-Jan Banuet Method classes. Cost is $70 for 2 hours. Sign up HERE

Achieving dreams-Achieving Dreams is looking for people to work at the Vikings, Wild, and Timberwolves games. Payouts are between $80-200 per game (tax-free!). These funds can be used to pay for any activity fees (dance, soccer, band, etc), as well as activity-related trips! Info can be found here: https://achievingdreamsmn.org/

Production stage dates- I have reserved the stage at FLHS for the following dates: 11/21, 12/12 (after Holiday shows), 1/9, 2/13. We will use the entire 5-8PM practice on the stage so the dancers can spread out!
Adult jazz! - Thursday 5:30-6! We would love to fill this class! Cost is only $20 and you can register online.
