5-9-2022 Competition and Performing Line Updates

Hello parents,

I hope you enjoyed the lovely weekend and had a wonderful Mother's Day!

It's show week!!! As a reminder, we DO HAVE CLASSES M-W THIS WEEK! No class on Thursday. We have dress rehearsal for our recreational kids, parent/child (rec shows), and 10 year dancers.

Show order - HERE is the link to the show order. It will be a QR code at the show, no paper programs! Feel free to share this ahead of time with your fans! There are a handful of quick changes. Feel free to have your dancer bring costumes backstage for quick changing. Friday night Company will be in the backstage dressing rooms, and Saturday Senior Troupe.

Recital t-shirts- These have all been handed out. We will have a handful for sale at the show. First come, first serve!

Nationals practice schedule- HERE

We have the week of 5/16 off, and then 5/23 is Intensive week. We start Nationals practices the week of 5/31.

Tuition will be charged on 5/25 (unless you paid in full last year)

Kalahari - Starz should have a rough schedule done by this week. I will forward that once I receive it.

Intensive Week - 5/23-26! Classes are getting full, make sure you are registered!

Advanced acro? - Is anyone interested in advanced acro during our summer session? Shoot me an email at dancefactory@mac.com

Food truck at recital - The Great Panini will be at the Saturday recitals! Stop by for lunch, dinner, or a quick snack!

Pictures - HERE is the picture schedule for 5/15. Pictures will be at Big Rock Creek in St. Croix Falls.

Production in recitals - We will be adding Production to the beginning of each recreational show. I realize it's last minute, but feel it will really spice up the recitals! Thank you for your flexibility!

AssistantMentor expectations for Recital/Rehearsal -  Our dance assistants and mentors are expected to be at dress rehearsal (rec classes) and help out at recital where they can. Click HERE for info.

National Tap Dance Day Competition and classes - on 5/27 and 5/28 there will be a tap competition in addition to some master classes. This is open to all of our students! See attached PDF for more details!

Tap Performance Company! We are so excited to be starting a tap performance company at DF!! HERE is the information. 

Summer classes- don't forget to register for summer classes and camps! Competition students (with the exception of performing line and Mini Team) are required to have a minimum of summer hours at DF to keep up with their training.
