8/23/2021 Competition and Performing Line Updates

Hello parents,

I hope you had a great weekend! Correction from last week - weekly emails will come on MONDAY, not Wednesday.

Just a reminder that September tuition is due on 8/25 and will be deducted from your accounts unless you have paid in full.

Production add-on for Mini Team, Mini Troupe, and Petite Team - Join the party! We are inviting all competition students to participate in our Production this year! Sign up HERE

Convention HIGHLIGHT - NUVO Dance Convention - February 18-20, 2022. Nuvo is an excellent convention/competition! Amazing choreographers like Ray Leeper, Mark Meismer, Stacy Tookey, and Travis Wall are on staff. Our Company team takes this convention each year and competes one group routine. Your child has the option to compete their solo here (no leveling, everyone in the same category), and/or take the convention. You have to attend the convention in order to do a solo or duet.

The convention is 2 full days with the option to add on Friday night. 

Convention Prices: $105 (ages 507), all other dancers $275

Solos: $155, D/T: $80/each. Billed in November.

**Please note- this is a HIGH level competition. I would advise doing your solo/duet only if you have had at least 2-3 years of experience with a solo/duet.

Fill out THIS Google Form if you are interested. COMPANY MEMBERS, only fill this out if you are interested in doing your solo/duet/trio. You are automatically signed up for the convention.

Team pictures- We will be taking team fall pictures on Wednesday 9/8 and Thursday, 9/9 (please note date changes). Please start a discussion on the Band accounts to decide what your team is wearing. Most teams wear jeans and a summery shirt, but you can do whatever you want! The pictures will be available for purchase (optional). Here is the schedule. Meet at the studio.

Acro for competition students - The Friday acro classes are online ready for you to register! These are optional, and you can take them month to month if you would like. Tuition is discounted to $25/month.

Garage sale - We still have lots of cute stuff on the counters for our fundraiser! Take an item or 2, and make a donation in the bucket. Thank you to everyone who has donated to our Poland trip!

New parent meeting is in person - Reminder that the NEW PARENT meeting is on Wed. 9/8 at 7PM. THE MEETING WILL BE AT THE STUDIO (not on Zoom as previously mentioned)

Nationals, book at Kalahari- We will be attending Starz nationals at the Kalahari in Wisconsin Dells 6/15-19, 2022. If you have not booked your room, please call and book ASAP (they sell out). Use the Midwest Starz block to get the special rate. Most families will not need the entire week, but I would suggest booking anyways. You will be able to cancel within 30 days of the competition, and we will find out our exact days before then.

Small group start dates for Fridays - All small groups will begin the week of 9/13, except for Grace's small groups, which will begin on 9/24.

Miss Sara's group will begin on 9/17.

Calendar - we are almost finished with the yearly calendar. It should be out by next Monday! We will have 2 optional competition opportunities for solos/duets again this year.
